The ICONS

Show students the picture of the main Memory Mates icon.
Explain that they will be learning new strategies to help them in class. These strategies will have benefits for all students in different ways.
The icons are intended for the students’ personal use to encourage and support independent learning.
The summary of the Memory Mates strategies is given to each student (laminated) as a personal overall reminder. In addition, a copy can be put on the classroom wall, along with a picture of each icon. It can also be helpful to give each student a copy to take home.
The Memory Mates Teachers’ Booklet and Parents’ Guide offer more detailed explanations to facilitate implementation.
